Helston Football Club have set up an under 9 girls team called Helston Halos. As a club they are keen to expand the girls youth team, to encourage girls to enjoy sport and keep fit from an early age. The eventual goal is for Helston to have a full girls team in every school year, as the boys youth teams currently have.

Helstonbury were approached in February 2017 and asked for £250 to help supply the girls with 14 t-shirts to use when training – each top to have the Helston badge on the front and the girls name on the back. Helstonbury thought this was a fantastic cause and bought the team a complete strip!
